A TBA Education
Our Education goal is to provide the knowledge that will allow
your child to become a part of the Jewish Community. Parents, Jewish and
Non-Jewish, are welcome to visit our school, to volunteer and to communicate
your concerns and your child’s needs to us frequently and openly. We cannot do
our job without your support. We encourage you to discuss the ongoing events and
programs of the school with your child each day.
The family is an essential part of each child’s education and we hope that you
will help us make this special for your child by sharing your own Jewish
experiences and volunteering your time and talents at our family programs.
We want our children to want to live their lives as Jewish individuals within a Jewish community.
- To take part in synagogue life.
- To incorporate Jewish values and ethics into all they do.
- To see the wonder and beauty of the world that surrounds us, and to remember to say an occasional blessing for that.
- To grow up to become Jewish Professionals
- To treat their classmates, friends, family members, customers, and clients with honesty and respect.
- To live as part of a Jewish family and to include their families within Jewish congregational and synagogue life
Above all, we want them to do these things willingly and joyfully and to one day send their children to religious school while remembering, with love, their own Jewish school years. With these goals in mind, we teach:
- Torah: the history of our people, tzedakkah, and our mitzvoth – our laws and ethics.
- Jewish living: our holidays, rituals, and celebrations.
- Hebrew: the language of Torah and the modern state of Israel.
- Prayer: how to pray from the Siddur as well as from the heart.
- How to pray for the community as well as for oneself.
